Doctors

Jordan DaSilva

Leah Slater

Leah has been a veterinarian at Unanderra Vet Hospital since 2015. Leah comes from Canada originally and has completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Otago University in New Zealand in 2008, as well as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from The University of Sydney in 2014. Leah has one cat, Frankie, and is a regular foster carer for orphan kittens which makes her our go to person for feline medicine!

Nurses

Kayt Saltalamacchia

Kayt is our senior nurse and has been a at Unanderra Vet Clinic since 2008 although through her families pets has a lifelong association. She completed her certificate 4 in vet nursing at Yallah TAFE in 2010. Kayt is from Wollongong and has two dogs, Chelsea and Zoe, and recently added a baby, Lucas. Kayt does some dog grooming on the side and has wide knowledge of our over the counter products.

Melinda McKeown

Melinda has been a veterinary nurse at Unanderra Vet Clinic since 2013. Mel completed her certificate 4 in vet nursing at Yallah TAFE in 2013 and is originally from Sutherland Shire. Mel has a rehomed greyhound, Abbi ; two bunnies, Pocket and Misty; one bearded dragon, Blaze; two chickens, Coco and Shimmer and one horse, Zulu. Mel’s daughter India can also be found helping out on Saturdays.

Emma Randall

Emma has been a veterinary nurse at Unanderra Vet Hospital since 2017 after completing her certificate 4 in vet nursing at Yallah TAFE in 2015. Emma is very effective at calming a nervous patient with her calm gentle handling. Emma has one dog, Baxter, and is from Wollongong.
