Dr Leah Slater

Leah has been a veterinarian at Unanderra Vet Hospital since 2015. She was born in NZ, spent her teenage years in Canada and has always known she wanted a career working with animals. Leah decided to combine travelling and studying and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at Otago University in New Zealand in 2008, followed by a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from the University of Sydney in 2014. She has one senior cat (Frankie) plus a lovely fish tank! Leah is also a regular foster carer for orphan kittens which makes her our go to person for feline medicine. Her other interests include surgery, ophthamology and providing compassionate medicine and care for senior patients.
